I first learned the ropes for mixing live music at Rosie’s Live in Brisbane in 2010 under the sometimes watchful eye of Australian audio legend Ean Redman. Today I’ve worked all over the country and far afield overseas and have mixed on, and am well versed in both analog and digital systems in 100 to 3000 capacity venues and many iterations of outdoor festivals. I’ve also had the pleasure of working alongside some of the most talented musicians, artists, performers, lighting and systems technicians Australia and the world has to offer.

In-House

In late 2021 I started working as Head of Tech in-house at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse in Burleigh, QLD and between 2013 and 2017 I worked as in-house engineer at many of Brisbane’s longest running and most respected music venues, but spent most of my time at Crowbar which allowed me to work with hundreds of different bands and artists across a huge range of musical genres.
I've also had the good fortune of working for the now defunct Total Attack Festival in Brisbane, a festival and fundraiser that is very close to my heart, as well as community events such as The Leukaemia Foundation's Light The Night fundraiser.

Corporate and Theatre

Between 2017 and 2021 I worked full time as the Technical Manager of Dracula's Cabaret, between then and October 2023 I oversaw a revamp of the entertainment space as the Technical Supervisor of Pink Flamingo Spiegelclub on the Gold Coast of Queensland and since then I’ve stepped in as Technical Manager for the new Spiegeland in Brisbane. These roles make me responsible for not only managing a team of theatre technicians and operating shows but also getting involved with stage management, rigging, flying performers, safety inductions, theatre mech work like prop and venue maintenance and electrical work. For the 2019/20/21 season production of Dracula’s Muertos I also undertook the role of sound design and had a hand in creative direction through the pandemic, and for Pink Flamingo’s 2022/23 productions of Fabulous, Ripped and Forbidden I took over creative sound design in venue.

In May 2021 I stepped into the Stage Manager role for the first ever touring rendition of Dracula’s: Resurrection theatre stage show in Melbourne, and in June 2022 I took on the role of Production Manager and Stage Manager at Adelaide Cabaret Festival and Brisbane Powerhouse for Cirque Bon Bon, creative brainchild of former Cirque Du Soleil creative director Ash McCready. In 2023 I was on team to take Bon Bon through a season of sold out shows as part of Brisbane’s Brisfest festival.
In August 2022 I was invited to Stage Manage some touring shows for Las Vegas sensations The Naked Magicians.

Previously I have taken on theatre, event and audio work with Queensland University of Technology at their Garden’s Point campus and Queensland Conservatorium of Music at their Southbank campus. This has provided me opportunities to work with Federal Members of Parliament, Fortune 500 executives, touring theatre productions, domestic and international journalists, celebrities, awarded academics and royalty.

Touring and Management

Since 2009 I've taken to leaving home and getting on the road with touring artists. This has seen me taking my experience as a touring musician and in-house engineer and apply it to both mixing on the road and Tour Managing. This has involved not only looking after multiple bands and crew 24/7 for weeks at a time; including itinerary development, venue and accommodation bookings, finances, merch, transport etc but also liaising with support acts, venue staff, labels and management, learning albums and setlists as though I was part of the band and in the case of touring overseas, different languages and currencies.

Below you can see a list of artists that I have worked with, where, and in what capacity:
